Do you see this guy in the photos? He is my Tinder date! We got matched, made an appointment and met. Dude is pretty cool – nice, talkative, funny. Nice beginning of a love story, huh? This dude even fell in love. But not with me, he fell in love with a boy from my university whom he had never met. He saw him on Tinder and Instagram and the spark was lit.

But love could not flourish, because the beloved of my date did not reply to him with a single message. So my date had to fight for this love! The plan was simple. He just had to have fucking awesome pics on his Tinder to get his crush’s attention. Then his crush would fall in love with him and he could start planning their wedding, etc. And who could take the pictures of him? I could.

So the photos you see were created for my Tinder date, so that he could make a boy who doesn’t reply to his messages fall in love with him. Welcome to my life.

Karolina Wojtas is a photographer, studying at the L. Schiller National Film, Television and Theatre School and the Czech Institute of Creative Photography in Opava. Twice won a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. She has shown her work, among others, at exhibitions in Vienna, Bratislava, Beijing, Copenhagen, or Amsterdam where she won the ING Unseen Talent Award 2019. She has opened her own museum in her home village in the Podkarpacie region.
